Five Simple Steps to Enroll
Step 1
Access the Parent Portal
The K12 Enrollment Portal provides access to your online application to VSVA, along with real-time alerts and quick links to important info.
Step 2
Submit an Application
Once you’ve begun an application in the K12 Enrollment Portal, click the option to add a new student or continue with your application. Simply fill in the fields with your child’s information, select VSVA, and hit Submit.
Step 3
Complete the Admissions Process
In this step, you’ll provide more detailed information about your child and upload additional documents, such as proof of residency and a birth certificate. For a list of specific documents that will be required, contact our enrollment consultants at 855.811.9203.

Next Steps
All families participate in a pre-recorded webinar with an enrollment consultant. Additional documents may be required to complete your enrollment, depending on your student’s situation, and will be provided within your Parent Portal.
Step 5
Tuition and Official Approval
After successfully completing the enrollment process, your student will be approved. Please check your email for important information regarding your student’s status and how to access the Online School platform.

Eligibility Requirements and Information
Who is eligible to attend Volunteer State Virtual Academy (VSVA)?
Any student in grades K–12 who resides in Tennessee is eligible for full-time enrollment.
To be enrolled as a freshman, a student must have successfully completed 8th grade.
To be enrolled as a sophomore, a student must have earned 5 credits.
To be enrolled as a junior, a student must have earned 10 credits.
To be enrolled as a senior, a student must have earned 15 credits.
Proof of Residency
While attending VSVA, you must maintain full-time Tennessee residency.
