Testing and Assessment FAQs
What tests will my student be required to take?
Students who attend Volunteer State Virtual Academy (VSVA) are required to take all state-mandated assessments, which include:
- K12 course assessments
- Math and literacy benchmark testing: beginning, middle, and end of year
- End-of-course exams for Algebra I, English II, Biology, and U.S. History and Constitution
- Interim assessments in math, English language arts, and some science and social studies courses
- TCAP Assessments
- ACT
Will my student have to participate in state testing?
Yes. Families enrolling at VSVA must be willing to participate in all state-mandated testing. Enrollment is contingent upon participating in testing.
